Querydog Community Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026 · Windsoft · Mac App Store edition

This policy explains how Querydog Community for the Mac App Store handles information. The Windsoft website privacy policy applies separately when you use the website.

1. Data stored on your Mac

Querydog does not require a Windsoft account or license sign-in for this edition. Connection settings, database credentials, SQL history, saved queries, app settings, and logs are stored locally in the app's Mac container. Credentials are stored in a local file protected by account file permissions; they are not stored in macOS Keychain. Uninstalling the app may not remove every user-created export or saved file outside the container.

2. Database connections

The app connects directly to database servers that you configure. Your SQL and database data are exchanged with those servers to perform the actions you request. Windsoft does not receive that traffic through Querydog's database connection. Your database administrator or hosting provider may process it under their own policies.

3. Optional AI requests

If you configure and use an external AI provider, Querydog asks for consent before the first request to each destination in a session. The request may contain your question, database/schema/table names, table structure, SQL, and selected result excerpts. It is sent to the provider you configured for SQL assistance and analysis. Supported choices include Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Alibaba Qwen, and Moonshot Kimi; availability depends on your settings. Those providers may process or retain requests under their own policies, including outside Korea. Check your provider's terms and avoid sending sensitive data. A local Ollama endpoint can keep AI requests on your own device; a remotely configured Ollama endpoint does not.

You can avoid this transfer by not configuring or using a remote AI provider. You can change or remove the provider and its API key in app settings. To request deletion of information already sent to a provider, contact that provider under its policy.

4. Optional error reports

Only when you choose to send an error report, Querydog sends your description, diagnostics, log excerpts, and an optional full log archive to Windsoft for support and fault analysis. You may also enter a reply email address. The report includes app version, operating system, and runtime information; the receiving server also records access information such as IP address. Logs can contain connection names, schema/table names, and SQL. Review the report and remove sensitive information before sending. The report and attachment are stored on Windsoft's support server and accessible to authorized administrators. For access or deletion requests, contact the address below; records required by law may be retained for the applicable period.

5. Your choices and contact

External AI requests and error reports are optional. You can inspect and delete local Querydog files and saved exports on your Mac. For information Windsoft has received in a support report, including access, correction, deletion, or processing restriction requests, contact windsoft@kakao.com. Privacy contact: Soonjeong Kim, Windsoft, +82-70-7566-0599. We do not use these app data flows for advertising or tracking.
